The Crossovers II Poly Bead combine the concept of bundled rods with that of a regular maple drum stick. After lathing the unique shaped shaft of the Crossover II, a centre hole is drilled down to a bulb area then a bundle of polypropylene strands are secured in place. The short poly bundle responds and rebounds very fast in Crossovers II design. Two of the poly strands have nylon sleeves, the sleeves can be repositioned along the length of the poly strand host and allow for optimum drum and cymbal voicing. The diamter is similar to that of a 5B drumstick. We then finish the stick with our user friendly ‘Grip Control’ which features our double textured ‘X’ pattern feel.
The major features presented in all of the Crossovers are as follows; they respond and play very fast, the bulb area is a solid wood. It can be played on the bell of a cymbal like a regular drumstick, this stick design can also be used to execute rim shots and cross sticking with the sound expectations of a regular drumstick. Because we have combined rods with a solid stick shaft design, a drummer will notice the dynamic range possible with this stick is very useful if and when the intensity and volume of the music increases during a tune.
